Y., and previously of England. He was born at Athens, N. Y., 22 Feb. 1807. They dwelt at Homer, 8 years; at Sand Lake, N. Y., 8 years; at Middleburgh, N. Y., 13 years; and then moved to Fultonham, N. Y., where they were living in Ap. 1875.

V. Frederick Lewis Riggs, b. in Homer, N. Y., 2 May 1825; a grocer and dealer in provisions; married, 24 Jan. 1849, at Homer, Adelaide E. Hurlbut, dau. of Samuel Smith and Eliza (Devoe) Hurlbut, of Homer, where she was born 14 Sept. 1830. They settled in Homer; moved to Galesburgh, Ill., in 1857; returned, in 1861, to Homer; and were living there in March 1875.

They dwelt in Ridgefield till 1864, and then moved to Danbury, Conn., where they were living in Nov. 1875.
