IV. Nancy Maria Whitney, b. in Henderson, N. Y., 26 March 1812; married, 24 Feb. 1860, in Camden, N. Y., by Rev. Mr. Rowley, Presbyterian, to Capt. John Silliman Warner, a master-mariner, who was born in Schaghticoke, N. Y., 1 Aug. 1804, son of William Wilson and Mary (Parish) Warner. From 1817 to 1862, he was engaged in navigating Ontario, and the other great lakes; was master of a vessel from 1825; and of steamers after 1843. He was the first commander of the Vandalia, built at Oswego, N. Y., said to be the first vessel, built for business, with a screw-propeller. They resided, in 1874, at Henderson Harbor, where she died, without children, 13 June 1875. She was buried in Henderson.

VI. George Gale Whitney, b. in Henderson, N. Y., 23 Oct. 1817; a farmer; married, 16 Nov. 1845, at Henderson, Sally McNitt Hawkins, who was born in Henderson, 16 Nov. 1819, dau. of Hon. Joseph and Pamelia (Penny) Hawkins,1 and widow of Dr. Walter Becker. They lived at Henderson in 1874, on the same farm where he was born and which his father occupied before him.

VII. Harriet Ann Whitney, b. in Henderson, N. Y., 11 Jan. 1820; married, 11 Jan. 1843, at her father's house in Henderson, by Rev. Mr. Wilson, Methodist, to Daniel Moore Snow, a farmer, born in Henderson, 28 Feb. 1814, son of Tilley Flint and Anna (Whitney) Snow. See his record. They lived at Henderson in 1874.

I. Allen Whitney, b. in Henderson, N. Y., 18 March 1806; a carpenter and joiner; married, 27 Sept. 1831, in Ellisburgh, N. Y., Aramantha McDorman Wright, who was born in Manlius, N. Y., 25 March 1810, dau. of George and Electa (Whitney) Wright. They settled in Ellisburgh, where she died, 8 Jan. 1833, and was buried in the Carpenter Cemetery. 1 Joseph Hawkins was a representative in Congress, from 1839 to 1831, and was for several years a judge of Jefferson County. He was a native of Connecticut, and died in Henderson, 20 Ap. 1832, aged 50 years.
