V. Anna Eliza Whitney, b. at Greenbush, N. Y., in Ap. 1827; married in 1848 at Albany, N. Y., John Peabody Knight; died at Stoughton, Wis., 27 Jan 1855; and was buried there. He was living in March 1877, residence unknown.

VI. Mary Whitney, b. at Greenbush, N. Y., 13 March, 1823; married at Albany, N. Y., 17 July 1843, by Rev. Henry C. Starks, Methodist, to Jacob Van Vechten Platto, an attorney and counsellor-at-law, son of Frederick and Bathsheba (Chapman) Platto, of Schenectady, N. Y., where he was born 17 Jan. 1822. They dwelt in Albany for two years; and then moved to Milwaukee, Wis., where they were living in May 1877, at 143 Eighth Street. He was a member of the legislature of Wisconsin, in 1861 and 1862.

VII. Julia Ann Whitney, b. at Greenbush, N. Y., 26 Dec. 1825; married in 1856, at Albany, N. Y., her cousin, Edward A. Williams, a grocer, born in New Jersey, son of Jeremiah and Laura (Coons) Williams. She died at Milwaukee, Wis., 5 Ap. 1866, and was buried in Forest Home Cemetery. He died at Chicago, Ill., 6 Feb. 1875, and was buried near his wife.

VIII. William Henry Whitney, b. at Greenbush, N. Y., 8 Dec. 1828; married at Milwaukee, Wis., 10 June 1862, by Rev. William De Loss Love, pastor of the Spring Street Congregational Church, to Julia Elizabeth Perrin, who was born at South Wilbraham, Mass., 28 Jan. 1841, dau. of John G.1 and Eliza (Childs) Perrin. They were living at 128 Spring Street, Milwaukee, in May 1875. He has been U. S. Assessor of Internal Revenue for the First District of Wisconsin. His place of business was at 112 Spring Street.

I. Catherine Eliza Whitney, b. at New Scotland, N. Y., 20 Nov. 1812; married at Albany, N. Y., in 1828, George Traver, a harness-maker, born at Rhinebeck, N. Y., in 1809, son of Henry and Ellen (Mink) Traver. They settled in Albany; where she died of consumption, 22 Aug. 1831, and was buried at the head of State Street, but afterward removed to Albany Rural Cemetery, where her gravestone now stands. He married
