VI. George Leonard Tiffany, b. at Mount Pleasant, Penn., 7 June 1830; married at Jackson, Penn., 27 June 1855, Polly A. Gregory, dau. of Israel and Polly (Lindsey) Gregory, of Jackson since 1836, formerly of Bridgewater, Penn., where she was born 2 June 1833. He dwelt at Scranton, Penn., in 1854 and 1855; at Gibson, Penn., till 1866; and then settled at Susquehanna Depot, Penn., where they were living in March 1875, without children.

VII. Charles Gardner Tiffany, b. at Gibson, Penn., 20 Nov. 1835; married Sarah R. Griggs, of Gibson, dau. of Prescott and Catharine Griggs. They were living at Susquehanna Depot, Penn., in Jan. 1875.

I. Julia Ann Whitney, b. in Gibson, Penn., 11 Oct. 1819; married there, 12 March 1840, John Manzer, a farmer, who was born at Otsego, N. Y., 17 Aug. 1817, son of Lawrence and Mary (Price) Manzer. They settled in Gibson, where she died, 29 Aug. 1854, and was buried in Gibson Cemetery. He joined the Baptist Church of New Milford, Penn., 18 Feb. 1866; and died at New Milford, 22 March 1876.1

II. Jane Maria Whitney, b. in Gibson, Penn., 7 Oct. 1821; married Gilbert Williams; died in New Milford, Penn., 7 Feb. 1861, and was buried there. He was living at New Milford in 1874.

III. Joseph Edgar Whitney, b. in Gibson, Penn., 16 July 1824; a farmer; married there, 8 Dec. 1847, by Rev. George N. Todd, Presbyterian, to Eliza Ann Parmenter, who was born 21 June 1825, dau. of William and Darinda (Bennett) Parmenter, of Gibson. They settled in Gibson; where he died, 12 Dec. 1869, and was buried in the First Gibson Cemetery. She was living at Gibson in March 1874. He has held the offices of constable, collector, and supervisor of Gibson.

IV. Francis Marion Whitney, b. in Gibson, Penn., 17 July 1827; a farmer, and dealer in stock and agricultural implements; married at Mount Pleasant, Penn., 1 Jan. 1850, by "Esq. Miller, Presbyterian," to Julia Ann Belcher, whose parents, William and Sally Ann (Davy) Belcher, then lived in Thompson, Penn. She was born at Cuba, N.Y., 12 July 1829. They settled in Jackson, Penn., 18 March 1850; and were living there in March 1874.
