4581 III. George Walter Whitney, b. at St. John, N. B., 29 Jan. 1823; a bookseller and stationer; married in Trinity Church, St. John, 24 Ap. 1857, by Rev. I. W. D. Gray, D. D., to Margaret Ann James, dau. of Robert and Margaret (Foucht) James, deceased. She was born at St. John, 7 June 1826. They settled in that city, and were living there in Jan. 1876. 11828

4582 IV. James Augustus Whitney, b. at St. John, N. B., 15 Sept. 1825; a book-keeper; married in Trinity Church, St. John, 4 Jan. 1857, by Rev. I. W. D. Gray, D. D., to Eliza Crear, dau. of John and Anna Maria (Martin) Crear, of St. John, where she was born 11 Nov. 1830. They dwelt in St. John till 1867, most of the time in the house where he was born, which was built by his father in 1820; in Cleveland, Ohio, from 18 Nov. 1869 till 14 March 1871; and then moved to New York City, where they were living, at 523 West 23d Street, in Jan. 1874. 11829
4583 V. Henry Bates Whitney, b. at St. John, N. B., 15 June 1830; and was living at Kentville, N. S., in Nov. 1873, unmarried.

4584 I. William Henry Olive, b. at Carleton, St. John, N. B., 27 Sept. 1809; a warehouse-keeper in Her Majesty's Customs, at St. John; married at Portland, St. John, 2 May 1855, by Rev. William Harrison, Episcopal, to Mary Wilson, dau. of William and Mary Ann (Beatteay) Wilson, of Carleton, where she was born is Ap. 1837. They dwelt in Carleton till 1 May 1871; and then moved to St. John, where they were living, at the corner of Brussel and Richmond Streets, in Feb. 1874. He was appointed, to fill his father's place, a justice of the peace for the City and County of St. John. 11836

Frederick Coster, Episcopal, to Loranah Forest Lee, dau. of John and Elizabeth Ann (Alstow) Lee, of Lancaster. She was born at Portland, St. John, 8 Jan. 1813.
