Y., 10 Feb. 1819; a farmer; married at Middlebury, Penn., 9 June 1844, by Oliver Briggs, to Sarah Goodwin, dau. of Benjamin and Lydia (Rexford) Goodwin, of Middlebury, where she was born 27 May 1824. They dwelt in Middlebury (except one year, passed in Minnesota) till Sept. 1874; and then settled in Farmington, Penn., where they were living in Oct. 1876.

VII. Elias Whitney, b. at Tyrone, N. Y., 1 Sept. 1822; a farmer; married at Ulysses, Penn., 19 June 1850, by Elder Bartlett, to Laurette Short, dau. of Asa and Betsey (Burrell) Short. They settled in Chatham, Penn.; and he was living there in Aug. 1876. She died at Middlebury, Penn., 17 May 1875.
