IV. Mary Stuart Whitney, b. at Morristown, N. J., 27 May 1849; married in New York, 15 Ap. 1869, Joseph Frederic Kernochan, son of Joseph and Margaret (Seymour) Kernochan. He graduated at Yale College in 1863, and at Columbia Law School, New York, in 1865; and was a lawyer, at 63 Wall St., New York, in Sept. 1877. They then resided at 11 East 26th St., in the same city, passing the Summer months at their country-seat in Newport, R. I.
