Huyler Miller, b. at Modena, in Plattekill, N.Y., 3 Ap. 1819; a painter; married in the parsonage at Tuthilltown, Gardiner, N.Y., 31 March 1842, by William Brush, first pastor of the First Church. at Gardiner, to Hannah Lewis, whose parents then lived at Modena. She was born at Plattekill, 25 Dec. 1822, dau. of Graham and Margaret (Barnhart) Lewis. He was living at Poughkeepsie, N.Y., in 1874, his place of business being at 85 Main Street.

Hawxhurst, Methodist, to Mary Elizabeth Purdy, who was born at Milton, 14 June 1836, dau. of Isaac Bloomer and Catharine (Presley) Purdy. They lived at Milton till 1 Ap. 1864; and then moved to Poughkeepsie, N.Y., where they were living in 1874, at 11 South Clover Street.

VIII. John Wesley Waring, b. at Modena, in Plattekill, N.Y., 3 May 1833; died at New Paltz, N.Y., 29 March 1860, unmarried; and was buried in the Seymour burial-ground, two miles east of Modena.

IX. Charles Waring, b. at Modena, in Plattekill, N.Y., 14 July 1835; a painter; was living at Poughkeepsie, N.Y., unmarried, in 1873. He served for three years in Co. E, 156th Reg., N.Y. S. Vol. Infantry; and had a finger shot off in action.
