This is the letter received following an inquiry to the Guildhall Library:
We do hold the testamentary records proved in the Archdeaconry Court of London. A search of the act books (Guildhall Library Ms 9050/2) revealed the entry (in Latin) for the administration of the goods of Walter Whitney, of St. Andrew Holborn, deceased, on 12 May 1591, through William Farrand, doctor of law, to Sibyl ['Sibelle'] Whitney, relict. The total of the estate is £9 6s 11d. No further information is given.
