4157 VII. Gamaliel Everett, b. at Ellsworth, Conn., 12 Nov. 1794; a farmer; married at her father's house, 24 Nov. 1818, by Rev. D. L. Perry, congregational, to Nancy Minerva Woodward, dau. of Abel and Susanna (Woodruff) Woodward, of Ellsworth. She was born at Hillsdale, N.Y., 22 Dec. 1797. They settled at Ellsworth, where he died 2 Oct. 1871, and where she was living in Nov. 1875. 10931
4158 VIII. Lavinia Everett, b. at Ellsworth, Conn., about 1796; married Joseph Lord, son of John and ----- (St. John) Lord, of Ellsworth. They settled at Ellsworth, where she died 11 Oct. 1834, aged 39 years. He was living at Sharon, Conn., in Nov. 1875.
4159 IX. Ruth Everet, b. at Ellsworth, Conn., 22 Aug. 1800; married there, 19 July 1819, Alpha Carrier, of Ellsworth, a coach-maker, born at Torringford, Conn., 26 Sept. 1796, son of John and Lewey (Daley) Carrier. They settled in Bridgeport, Conn., and there died (he, 3 Ap. 1847; she, 3 Aug. 1851), and were buried in Mountain Grove Cemetery. 10941

William Everett, b. at Ellsworth, Conn., 17 July 1802; a farmer; married there, 27 Nov. 1828, Susan Ann Gordon, dau. of Alexander and Nancy (Burritt) Gordon, of Bethlehem, Conn., where she was born 28 Aug. 1802. They settled in Ellsworth, and there died (he, 25 Oct. 1856; she, 19 Ap. 1866), and were buried. He was a deacon of the Congregational Church. 10943

4161 I. Luther Chaffee, b. at Sharon, Conn., 17 Nov. 1784; bap. there 8 Jan. 1789; a farmer; married Mary Peck, dau. of Calvin and Betsey (Parsons) Peck, of Ellsworth, Conn., where she was born. They settled at Ellsworth, and there died (he, 11 March 1863; she 9 Ap. 1866), and were buried. 10947

Rachel Chaffee, b. at Sharon, Conn., 3 Ap. 1786; bap. there 19 Feb. 1797; married at Lee, Mass., 2 Sept. 1809, as a second wife, Abraham Hall,1 a harness-maker, and afterward a farmer, son of John and Lydia (Hotchkin) Hall, of Guilford, Conn., where he was born 29 Aug. 1776. They lived at Lee till 1819; at Sullivan, N.Y., till 1825; at Kirkland, N.Y., till 1847; in Oswego County, N.Y., till the Spring of 1858; and then settled at Munnsville, N.Y., where he died 17 March 1864, in his 88th year. 10950
  1 He married his first wife, Rachel Gaston, dau. of Dea. John and Miriam (Northrop) Gaston, at Richmond, Mass., 19 Ap. 1798. She died at Lee, 2 March 1809, aged 30 years.
