p. 226, #1536: Ebenezer ⁶ WHITNEY married, 9 Jan 1785, Bath, ME, Mehitable ROBINSON, according to the LDS International Genealogical Index.

p. 226, #3374: Pierce has confused three Thomas WHITNEY individuals:

1. #3374, Thomas R.⁷ WHITNEY;
2. #1538, Thomas G[race]⁶ WHITNEY; and
3. Thomas Emmons⁷ WHITNEY, alias Thomas C. [?Clinton?]⁷ WHITNEY, who was born 30 Apr 1810, Litchfield, ME, and who married, 17 December 1836, Clinton, ME, Hepzibah BROWN, and died 19 May 1860, Roxbury, MA.

In fact, #1 was son of #2. The family assigned to #2 actually belonged to #3. #3 had the parentage assigned to #1.

p. 226, #1542: Benjamin⁶ WHITNEY was born 30 Nov 1782 (not 29 Nov 1776), Lisbon, ME, according to Lisbon vital records.
