John Hutchins (Abigail³ Whitney, Joshua², John¹), son of John and Abigail³ (Whitney) Hutchins, was born 13 Oct 1693, Groton, MA,^[1] and died 16 Dec 1759, Bolton, CT.^[2]

He married firstly, 4 Aug 1715, Norwich, CT, Jerusha Bushnell, daughter of Joseph and Mary (Leffingwell) Bushnell. She was born 17 Nov 1695, Norwich, CT, and died 7 Apr 1744, Norwich, CT.

He married secondly, 14 Sep 1744, Hebron, CT, Mary Chase. She was born circa 1695, and died 7 Dec 1780, Hebron, CT.

John practiced as a physician and veterinarian ["Nicholas Hutchins of Lynn & Groton" by Marvin Clayton Hutchins].

v.	Joseph Hutchins, b. 28 Jan 1726/27; d. 1804, Northampton, MA; m. after Dec 1752, Margaret (Parsons) Ashley, daughter of Noah and Mindwell (Edwards) Parsons.
vi.	Benjamin Hutchins, b. 28 Jan 1726/7; m. Ruth Smith.
vii.	Joshua Hutchins, b. 2 Nov 1731; m. Mary Church.
viii.	Samuel Hutchins, b. 7 Feb 1733/4; d. 3 Mar 1803.

John and Mary (Chase) Hutchins had no children.
