Amaziah6 Whitney (Abner5, John4, Isaiah3, Thomas2, John1), son of Abner5 and Sarah (Hilton) Whitney,[1] was born about 1760, was baptized 4 Aug 1771, Groton, MA,[2] died 6 Mar 1842, and was buried in the Gurney Chamberlain or Rose Burying Ground, Maryland, Otsego Co., NY.[3]

He married Sarah Boyington. She died aged 86 years.

He was in the Revolutionary army in a company from Worcester County, under command of Captain Boutell; resided in MA, Albany and Maryland, NY.
