Andrew Sheldon Whitney, parentage unknown, was born 1 Sep 1804, New Milford, CT, and died 28 Oct 1882.

In some records he appears as "Anderson", not "Andrew".

He married, about 1850-1851, Mary Ann Clark, parentage unknown. She may be that Mary A. Clark, age 18, in the family of William D. and Martha (-----) Clark, 1850, Pittsfield, MA. She was born 2 Sep 1831, Adams, MA, or NY, and died 28 Nov 1884, KS. She is buried in Marysville City Cemetery, Marysville, KS.
