Arthur William⁹ Whitney (Samuel Curtis⁸, David⁷, Elijah⁶, Thomas⁵, Thomas⁴, Eleazer³, Thomas², John¹), son of Samuel Curtis⁸ and Harriet Sophia (Prentice) Whitney, was born 4 Sep 1850, Grafton, MA,^[1] and died before 1900.

He married, 16 Feb 1875, Brattleboro, VT, Ellen Clara Crowley, daughter of Thomas and Catharine (O'Brien) Crowley.^[2] She was born Jul 1856, Malden, MA, and died after 1900.
