Austin Clifford Whitney (Jacob S.), son of Jacob S. and Abigail (-----) Whitney, was born Mar 1837, Thornton, NH, and died 30 Jul 1917, Sheffield, IA.

He married firstly, 27 Feb 1862, Kane Co., IL, Clara J. Cary. daughter of Bela and Mary (Ogden) Cary. She was born about 1842, Kendall, NY, and died 11 Dec 1879. She was buried in Kaneville Cemetery, Kaneville, IL.[1]

He married secondly, 5 May 1881, Hampton, IA, Martha Ellen Wilhelm, daughter of Henry and Matilda (Seakley) Wilhelm. She was born Oct 1844, PA, and died 1900-1905.
