Charles Augustus Whitney (George Leon), son of George Leon and Ellen E. (Packard) Whitney, was born 4 Dec 1853, Nashua, NH, and died 5 Nov 1934, Jackson, MI.[1]

He married, 5 Jan 1874, Athol, MA, Ada V. Sanderson, both of Athol, daughter of ----- and Mary S. (-----) Sanderson,[2] but adopted by Joseph Casavant, of Athol, MA. She was born about 1853, England (marriage record) or MA (1880, 1910, and 1920 censuses) or OH (1900 census), and died about 1921.

His occupation is listed as "Showman".
