Daniel6 Whitney (Micah5, James4, John3, Jonathan2, John1), son of Micah5 and Lydia (Mason) Whitney, was born 26 Jan 1759, Natick, MA, and died after 1794.

He "of Chesterfield" married, 3 Jan 1782, Douglas, MA, Eunice Marsh,[1] daughter of Lt. Ebenezer and Achsah (Stearns) Marsh. She was born 23 Apr 1761, Douglas, MA.

The History of Chesterfield [Cheshire Co., NH], by Oran E. Randall, (1882) mentions Daniel and Eunice Whitney as having four children, Adolphus, b. Dec. 13, 1782, d. 1785; George, b. Jan 11, 1785; Vashni, b. June 3, 1788; and Calvin, b. Aug 23, 1790. It says the name is not found after 1794.

The family may have moved to New York as Vashni Whitney appears in the War of 1812 records as being from New York.

Children of Daniel6 and Eunice (Marsh) Whitney:

i. Adolphus7 Whitney, b. 13 Dec 1782, Chesterfield, NH;[2] d. 1785.
ii. George Whitney, b. 11 Jan 1785, Chesterfield, NH.[3]
iii. Vashni Whitney, b. 3 Jun 1788, Chesterfield, NH;[4] m. Sarah Spencer.
iv. Calvin Whitney, b. 23 Aug 1790, Chesterfield, NH.[5] Doesn't appear in any known census record and probably died young.
