Edward Whitney, parentage unknown, was born Jan 1861, VT, and died after 1900.

He married about 1896, Georgia H. (Steele) Sargent, daughter of Alfred D. and Emma Jane (French) Steele. She was born 7 Dec 1862, Waitsfield, VT, and died 29 Dec 1925, Claremont, NH.^[1] She was buried in Ascutney Cemetery, Windsor, VT.^[2] They were divorced. She had married firstly, 4 Nov 1880, Randolph, VT, Charles H. Sargent, son of Horton and Fanny F. (Kidder) Sargent. She married thirdly, 19 Dec 1915, Windsor, VT, Walter Henry Osgood.^[3]

Edward and Georgia H. (Steele)(Sargent) Whitney had no children.
