Eli⁷ Whitney (Ransom⁶, Jonathan⁵, Matthias⁴, Cornelius³, Joshua², John¹), son of Ransom⁶ and Mary (Edwards) Whitney, was about 9 Feb 1832, OH, and died 18 Jul 1863, at home, aged 31 years 5 months 9 days. He was buried in Green Hill Cemetery, Johnstown, OH.^[1]

He married, 15 Nov 1855, Martha Smith. She was born 9 Feb 1836, PA, and died 14 Feb 1913. She was buried in Green Hill Cemetery, Johnstown, OH.^[2]
