Eli7 Whitney (Ransom6, Jonathan5, Matthias4, Cornelius3, Joshua2, John1), son of Ransom6 and Mary (Edwards) Whitney, was about 9 Feb 1832, OH, and died 18 Jul 1863, at home, aged 31 years 5 months 9 days. He was buried in Green Hill Cemetery, Johnstown, OH.[1]
He married, 15 Nov 1855, Martha Smith. She was born 9 Feb 1836, PA, and died 14 Feb 1913. She was buried in Green Hill Cemetery, Johnstown, OH.[2]
1st Lieutenant, Company H, Ohio 121st Infantry Regiment, the Civil War.
