Enos6 Whitney (Enos5, John4, Richard3, John2, Henry1), son of Enos5 and Eunice (Avery) Whitney, was born 16 Dec 1798, Wallingford, CT, was baptized 29 Sep 1799, Northford, CT, and died 12 May 1852, Gibson, PA, aged about 55 years. He was buried in Gibson, PA.
He married, 16 Jan 1821, Wallingford, CT, Margery Merriman "both of Wallingford",[1] daughter of Asaph and Eunice (Andrews) Merriman. She was born 12 Sep 1800, Wallingford, CT, and died 21 Jul 1858, Gibson, PA.
Phoenix says the following:
- "Enos Whitney, b. at Wallingford, Conn., 16 Dec. 1798; bap. at Northford, Conn., 29 Sept. 1799; married in Wallingford, Margery Merriman; was ordained deacon of the Presbyterian Church in Gibson, Penn., 1 Jan. 1834, and continued in office till his death, at Gibson, '12 May 1852, aged about 55 years.' He was buried in Gibson."

Mary Eliza Whitney, b. ca. 1838, PA; m. ----- Post, of Gibson, PA. vi. Gilbert A. Whitney, b. ca. 1840, PA; d. 9 Sep 1855; unmarried. vii. Caroline Whitney, b. ca. 1841, PA; d. 2 Aug 1856.
