Erastus Frank⁸ Whitney (Jasper⁷, Ami⁶, Jonathan⁵, Jonathan⁴, Jonathan³, Benjamin², John¹), son of Jasper⁷ and Elizabeth (Gunwer) Whitney, was born 31 Aug 1836, Thompson, OH, and died after 1872.

He married, 8 Aug 1861, Sandusky Co., OH, Lucinda Hamburger. She was born 22 Feb 1840, and died 26 Jun 1876.

He resided Bowling Green, OH.

Children of Erastus Frank⁸ and Lucinda (Hamburger) Whitney:

i.	Rosa Etta9 Whitney, b. 1863, OH; d. 1891, North Judson, IN; m. John G. Benkie. They had three children two surviving her. He married again and resided Koutz, IN.
ii.	Adelbert Ezra Whitney, b. 10 Sep 1865, OH, resided unmarried 205 Illinois St., Chicago, IL; clerk in post office.
iii.	Willis Clark Whitney, b. 2 Dec 1878, or ca. 1869 [probably 2 Dec 1868], OH; resided Bowling Green.
iv.	Lester Elihu Whitney, b. 7 May 1872; resided with Adelbert.
