George Albert8 Whitney (Josiah7, Moses Gill6, Josiah5, Richard4, Richard3, Richard2, John1), son of Josiah7 and Sarah Moody (Dickinson) Whitney, was born about 1838, MA, and died 2 Sep 1872, Bennington, VT, aged 34 years.[1]

He married firstly, 1 Sep 1859, Chicopee, MA, or 6 Sep 1859, Bennington, VT, Ann Amelia Day, daughter of Almiron M. and Clarissa (Hayden) Day.[2] She was born 17 Jun 1839, Bennington, VT, and died 3 Dec 1899, Springfield, MA.[3] Apparently they were divorced. Ann m.(2) Apr 1869, Edward Noahdiah Swift Morgan (1826-1884). In 1860 he was an engraver living in Chicopee, MA.

He married secondly, 15 Mar 1868, Bennington, VT, Jane Emeline (-----) Congdon.[4] She was born about 1842, NY, and died 3 Dec 1899, Springfield, MA.
