Hannah6 Whitney (Elijah5, Elijah4, Richard3, John2, Henry1), daughter of Elijah5, was born say 1760 and died about 1810, Leeds, ON.

She may be the Hannah Whitney who married firstly, Jeremiah Bass.

She married secondly Elijah Whitney, whose origin is unknown. He died about 1815, Leeds, ON.

He was of Danbury, a farmer. After the close of the Revolution, they moved to Philipstown, NY, thence to Coeymans, NY, and from there, about 1793 or 1794, to Leeds, near Gananoqui, Upper Canada, where they died; she, about 1810; he, about 1815.

i. Jeremiah Bass, b. 6 Jul 1768; d. 13 Jun 1832, Northville, NY; bur. Northville, NY; m. Elizabeth Bentley, b. 13 Jul 1772, d. 17 Aug 1838, Northville, NY, bur. Northville, NY; settled at Northville, in Northampton, NY.
ii. Zadok Bass, b. -----; d. 1843, Hope, NY; res. Northampton, NY, till 1805, and then settled in the east part of the adjoining town of Hope, NY.
iii. Zebulon Bass, b. -----; d. 1832, Watertown, NY; res. Northampton, NY, and finally settled in or near Watertown, NY.
iv. Hannah Bass, b. -----; m. ----- Olmstead.

Children of Elijah and Hannah6 (Whitney)(Bass) Whitney:

i. Elizabeth Whitney, b. 20 Apr 1780, Danbury, CT; d. 22 Apr 1865, Brockville, ON; m. 1799, Seth Downs, b. 21 May 1771, Fairfield, CT, d, Jun 1858, Brantford, ON, aged 87 years; a blacksmith. They dwelt at Gananoqui, on the River St. Lawrence, from 1810 to 1820; and spent the greater part of their lives in Upper Canada, where he became a country merchant and lumberman.
iii. Clarissa Whitney, b. -----; m. William Woolley, a farmer; settled in Leeds, ON, on the homestead of her father, living with him during his life, and receiving it at his death, with the household goods and family-record. She was living there as late as 1873, with her son-in-law, a Mr. Wing, about twenty miles from Brockville; and was then said to have two sons, and a son-in-law named Redding--all of whom dwelt near the same place.
