Henry A.7 Whitney (Israel6, Israel5, Elijah4, Isaiah3, Thomas2, John1), son of Israel6 and Phoebe (Jennison) Whitney, was born 15 Jan 1815, Boston, MA, and died 3 Jul 1862, Newark, NJ.
He married, Newark, NJ, Hannah Stickels, of Newark, NJ, daughter of ----- and Anna (-----) Stickles. She was born about 1818, Dutchess Co., NY, and died after 1870.
He was born in Boston, MA, and at an early age became a resident of Newark, NJ, where he was married and where he ever after resided. He was a prominent and well-know resident of that city. He was the first person to hold the office of chief of police of Newark, and for many years was president of the Mutual Life Insurance Company of Newark. He resided Newark, NJ.

Halsey, b. 20 May 1872. c. Isaac Whitney Halsey, b. 3 Apr 1874. d. Cornelia Halsey, b. 9 Apr 1878. e. Harriett Halsey, b. 20 Feb 1890.
iv. Anna N. Whitney, b. ca. 1851, NJ; m. ----- Schniber; resided Asbury Park, NJ. v. Martha A.8 Whitney, b. 3 Jan 1853; m. 26 Feb or 28 May 1874, Boston, MA, Charles Mills Ward, b. 20 Dec 1850, Cambridge, England, son of James A. and Harriet M. (-----) Ward.[1] He is a manufacturing jeweler on Washington St., Boston, MA; resided 12 Thornley St., Dorchester, MA. Children: a. Charles Whitney Ward, b. 10 Apr 1876.
vi. Henrietta Whitney, b. 12 Nov 1857; m. 29 Aug 1879, Charles L. Christenson; resided Vailsburg, NJ. He was b. 16 Aug 1853, Boston, MA. Children: a. Mattie L. Christenson, b. 13 Dec 1881. b.
