He married 29 Oct 1835, Grafton, MA,[2] Martha Gerry, daughter of Benjamin and Lois (Osgood) Gerry. She was born 27 Oct 1805, Leominster, MA, and died 26 Apr 1890, Leominster, MA. She "Mrs." married secondly, 26 Nov 1840, Leominster, MA, Charles May.[3]
Children of Horace and Martha (Gerry) Whitney, if any, unknown.
