He married, 4 Jan 1857, Trinity Church, St. John, NB, Eliza Crear, daughter of John and Anna Maria (Martin) Crear. She was born 11 Nov 1830, St. John, NB, and died after 1880.
Phoenix says the following:
- ". . . a book-keeper . . . . They dwelt in St. John till 1867, most of the time in the house where he was born, which was built by his father in 1820; in Cleveland, Ohio, from 18 Nov. 1869 till 14 March 1871; and then moved to New York City, where they were living, at 523 West 23d Street, in Jan. 1874."
