Jeremiah7 Whitney (Jeremiah6, Hezekiah5, Hezekiah4, Joseph3, John2, Henry1), son of Jeremiah6 and Elizabeth (Underhill) Whitney, was born 15 Mar 1810, New Paltz, NY, and died after 1874.

He married firstly, Apr 1836, Plattekill, NY, Catharine Palmer, daughter of Edward and Martha (Lawrence/Townsend) Palmer. She was born 10 Sep 1817, Stroudsburg, PA, and died 16 Sep 1849, Barre, NY. She was buried in the Friends' Cemetery in Shelby, NY, one mile south of Millville.

He married secondly, 30 Oct 1853, Eagle Harbor, in Gaines, NY, Mary St. Clair Delano, daughter of William and Maria (Whitney) Delano, and granddaughter of Hezekiah6 and Polly (St. Clair) Whitney. She was born 6 Jun 1830, Eagle Harbor, in Gaines, NY, and died after 1874.

A farmer. They moved, in 1866, to Clarendon, NY, where they were living in 1874, about three miles south of Murray Station.

i. Zadok8 Whitney, b. 10 Aug 1837, Barre, NY; d. 20 Nov 1869, Breedsville, MI; m. Julia Wood, of Holley, NY, d. after 1873; an iron-founder; settled at Breedsville, MI, where he was proprietor of a furnace.
ii. Martha Ann Whitney, b. 28 Dec 1839, Barre, NY; m. 23 Feb 1858, Barre, NY, Austin Westbrook Salisbury; a farmer; b. 23 Aug 1834, Clarendon, NY, son of Abraham Westbrook and Mary A. (Austin) Salisbury; both living at Clarendon in 1874.
iii. Sarah Elizabeth Whitney, b. 23 Aug 1841, Shelby, NY; d. 19 Jan 1865, Aurelius, NY, of congestion of the brain; bur. Fort Hill Cemetery, Auburn, NY; m. 6 Oct 1862, Albion, NY, Samuel Augustus Stringham, son of Samuel and Elizabeth (Ward) Stingham, b. 19 Oct 1832, Pleasant Valley, NY; a farmer; settled three miles south-west from Auburn, on the road to Union Springs, Aurelius, NY. He remarried.
iv. Mary Whitney, b. 8 Aug 1843, Barre, NY; d. after Nov 1874; m. 13 Mar 1861, Fairport, NY, Edmund Embury Lord; a farmer and fruit-grower, whose parents then lived at Fairport; b. 31 May 1839, Barrington, NY, son of William and Nancy (Corbett) Lord. They dwelt at Pittsford, NY, from Apr 1861 till Oct 1861; at Fairport till 1 Apr 1867; and then moved to Newark, NY, where they were living in Nov 1874.
v. Daniel Edward Whitney, b. 28 Feb 1845, Barre, NY; m. Celia Lucretia Miller.

vi. William Delano Whitney, b. 19 Jun 1856, Barre, NY; living with his parents, at Clarendon, NY, in 1874.
