Milo Whitney (Samuel), son of Samuel and Mary E. (Smith) Whitney, was born about 1826-1831, Meriden, CT, and died after 1910.

He married firstly, 8 Feb 1867, Westford, MA, Louisa Ann (Reed) Leland,[1] daughter of Charles and Beulah (Gilson) Reed. She was born 15 Jan 1821, Westford, MA. She was the widow of Joseph Leland, whom she married 8 Feb 1838, Westford, MA.

He married second, 5 Oct 1876, Springfield, MA, Josephine Munroe. She was born about 1846, Woonsocket Falls, RI.[2]

He married thirdly, 16 May 1883, West Springfield, MA, Ida Lillia (Richardson) Counter, daughter of Franklin & Ida (-----) Richardson.[3] She was born about 1853, Boston, MA, and died 28 Jun 1892, Springfield, MA, aged 42 years, of phthisis pulmonaris.[4] She had married firstly, 10 Oct 1871, Concord, NH, Gilbert C. Counter (1837-1882).

Children of Milo and Josephine (Munroe) Whitney:
