If his age at the 1840 census is wrong, then he could be Moses, son of Moses Whitney (1789-1857), b. 14 Aug 1814, Hinsdale, MA. He could also be Moses, son of Daniel Whitney, b. 22 Mar 1806, Belchertown, MA.
