Robert W. Whitney (Elijah, Ebenezer), son of Elijah and Betsey (Field) Whitney, was born 23 Feb 1826, Belchertown, MA.
He married, 1 Sep 1851, Belchertown, MA (also recorded in Somers, CT),[1] Ann (Magoon)(-----) Clark. The records show that he married, 5 Sep 1851, Lanesborough, MA, Ann Clark.[2] She was born about 1827. Apparently she was the "Mrs. Hannah N. Whitney", wife of Robert, who died 4 Apr 1857, Belchertown, MA, married, aged 30 years, of consumption.[3]
He was a farmer.

Apparently he was the Robert Whitney, born Belchertown, MA, who, by Harriet Paine (born about 1831, Ludlow, MA, daughter of Jonathan and Sally (Hayden) Paine), had a son (apparently illegitimate), given name omitted, born 25 Feb 1864, Ludlow, MA.[6]
