Royal Whitney, parentage unknown, was born say 1817, IN or OH, and died about 1849.
He married, 7 Oct 1841, Lebanon, OH, Lydia A. Kirby,[1] daughter of Farnsworth and Hannah (-----) Kirby. She was born about 1820, NJ, and died 30 Apr 1867, Warren Co., OH. She was buried in Turtlecreek Cemetery, Turtlecreek, OH.[2]

In census records, son David reported that his father was born in IN, while his son Rufus said OH.
