Walter6 Whitney (Jonathan5, Matthias4, Cornelius3, Joshua2, John1), son of Jonathan5 and Olive (Cady) Whitney, was born 7 Apr 1798, and died 16 Jan 1864, Wyoming Co., PA.

He married Louisiana Edwards, daughter of Eli and Hannah (Wilsie) Edwards. She was born about Jul 1806, and died 1 or 4 Aug 1877, Wyoming Co., PA.

Walter Whitney Probated Will - Written 31 Aug 1868, Proved 12 Dec 1868. Witnesses: Jacob G. Williams and John B. Park. Lists Emiline Lyon, Louisiana Keeney & Alonzo E. Whitney as 2 sisters and 1 brother (estate of Walter Whitney to be disposed and heirs receive reasonable compensation). Three to receive additional $100 each to be used to provide home for honored mother Louisiana Whitney; Lorenzo is instructed to keep house, barn and premises in repair for mother's lifetime. $200 was to go to funeral expenses and tombstone. Whatever is left goes to Lorenzo, and he is named executor.[1]

Recorded Last Will of Louisiana Whitney - 12 Mar 1877. Member of the Methodist Episcopal Church. Son Alonzo E. Whitney to receive money and ? (hard to read) after paying funeral expenses and one cow, one hog, and possessions in cellar, and one bed and bedding. Daughter Emiline Lyons to get one gilt frame looking glass. Rest of estate to be equally divided among children - William H or C Whitney, Emaline Lyons, Louisiana Keeney, Lorenzo Whitney and Alonzo Whitney. Witnesses: Mark Keeney and Elvia Whitney.[2]

ii. Ann Whitney, b. ca. 1825, PA. She is probably the Ann Eliza Whitney, b. 20 Jun 1825, d. 22 May 1891, buried North Flat Cemetery.
iii. Charles Wesley Whitney, b. 29 Jun 1827, PA; m. Jane Adeline Evans.
iv. Emily Whitney, b. ca, May 1829, PA; d. 28 Apr 1831, aged 1 year 11 months.
v. Emeline Whitney, b. ca. 1831, PA; m. T. B. Lyons.
vi. Losina (Louisiana?) Whitney, b. ca. 1834, PA; d. 17 Oct 1893; m. Elihu Keeney.
vii. John Jefferson Whitney, b. ca. 7 Sep 1836, PA; m. Mary Jeanette Davenport.
viii. Lubancy Whitney, b. ca. 12 Nov 1837, PA; d. 31 Dec 1840, aged 3 years 1 month 19 days.
ix. Lorenzo Whitney, b. 3 Feb 1844, PA; m. Mary Jeanette (Davenport) Whitney.
x. Alonzo Whitney, b. 3 Feb 1844, PA. Alonzo is enumerated in 1870 with his mother and brother, and appears to be listed as 'Invalid'.
