Walter Hunnewell7 Whitney (Ezekiel6, Ezekiel5, John4, Benjamin3, John2, John1), son of Ezekiel6 and Catharine (Anson) Whitney, was born 18 Nov 1817, Watertown, MA,[1] and died probably 16 Feb 1904, Lancaster, MA, aged 90 [sic], of senility.[2] He was buried in North Village Cemetery, Lancaster, MA.

He married firstly, 25 Nov 1838, Boston, MA, Lydia A. Doyle,[3] daughter of Thomas and Martha (-----) Doyle. She was born about 9 Jan 1822, Gardiner, ME, and died 7 Aug 1888, Chelsea, MA, aged 66 years 6 months 28 days, of asthenia.[4] They probably were divorced since they were living separately at least from 1860 on, and when she died, she was called "single", not "married" or "widowed".

He married secondly, 1 Jan 1857, Providence, RI, Lydia Withers, daughter of Thomas B. andLydia (Creach) Withers.[5] She was born about 1818.

He married thirdly, before 1859, Ocean A. (Spear) Whitney, daughter of William and Ocean A. (-----) Spear. She was born about 1819, VA, and died 3 Dec 1873, Boston (or Deer Island), MA, aged 54 years, of scrofulous abcesses and diarrhea.[6] She had married firstly, about 1848, William G. J.8 Whitney, q.v. Walter and William were only very distantly related. Ocean and Walter may have been divorced.

He is a baker; resided Boston, Newton, Acton, and South Lancaster, MA.
