Family:Whitney, William Prescott (1856-a1900)
William Prescott Whitney (William M., William), son of William M. and Lucy Jane (Morse) Whitney, was born about Nov 1856, Brookfield, VT, and died after 1900.
He married, 20 Mar 1883, Boston, MA, Edith Annie Tower, daughter of Mayhew and Annie (-----) Tower.[1] She was born about 1865, Dorchester, MA, or Wood Point, NB, and died after 1920. Apparently they were divorced. She married secondly, 12 Oct 1912, Portland, ME [recorded at Revere, MA], Clarence W. Hall.[2]

i. William Frederick Whitney, b. 30 Oct 1884, Boston[3] or Charlestown, MA; m. 15 Aug 1906, Providence, RI, Florence Ella Jewell, b. 26 May 1881, Shrewsbury, MA, dau. of Benjamin Franklin and Ella J. (Carpenter) Jewell. They were divorced before 1920. Children: a. Ruth F. Whitney, b. ca. 1907, MA; d. aft. 1920. b. Hazel Marion Whitney, b. 4 Sep 1909, Medford, MA;[4] d. aft. 1920.
ii. Lucy Edna Whitney, b. 2 Nov 1887, Boston or Charlestown, MA; m. 1 Sep 1909, Somerville, MA [also recorded Medford, MA], Frank William Komenda, b. ca. 1889, Boston, MA, son of Frank and Anna (Blicha/Belcha) Komenda.[5] He was a drugist.
