He married, 6 Feb 1884, Clara Emma Sanborn.
He resided Tunbridge, VT, East Bethel, VT.

i. Alex Harry10 Whitney, b. 13 Dec 1886, Tunbridge, VT; m. 2 Mar 1906, Fitchburg, MA, Gertrude F. Smith, b. ca. 1886, Fitchburg, MA, dau. of Frank and Mary (Griffin) Smith.[2] Children: ii. Charles Carroll Whitney, b. 3 Nov 1888, Tunbridge, VT; m. 29 Jun 1910, Somerville, MA [also recorded at Greenfield, MA], Christina Rachel Ray, b. ca. 1886, Manchester, NH, dau. of John S. and Christine (Miller) Ray.[5] He was a signalman on the Boston and Maine Rail Road.
