Family:Whitney, Zadok (1837-1869)

Zadok⁸ Whitney (Jeremiah⁷, Jeremiah⁶, Hezekiah⁵, Hezekiah⁴, Joseph³, John², Henry¹), son of Jeremiah⁷ and Catharine (Palmer) Whitney, was born 10 Aug 1837, Barre, NY, and died 20 Nov 1869, Breedsville, MI, or Columbia, MI.

He married, before Jun 1863, Julia Wood, daughter of Lewis and Polly (-----) Wood, of Holley, NY. She was born about 1839, NY, and died after 1873.

He was an iron-founder; settled at Breedsville, MI, where he was proprietor of a furnace.

He was listed on the Civil War Draft Registration lists for June 1863, as Zadock Whitney, 25, white, married, joiner, of Murray, Orleans Co., NY.
