Mary Adams (Lydia3 Whitney, Jonathan2, John1), daughter of Moses and Lydia (Whitney) Adams,[1] was born 4 Jan 1699/700, Sherborn, MA.[2]

She married 2 Nov 1721, Sherborn, MA, William Sheffield,[3] son of William and Hannah (Bullard) Sheffield.[4] He was born 28 Feb 1699/1700, Sherborn, MA.[5]

Apparently he, "Lieut.", married secondly, 25 Sep 1776, Mendon, MA, widow Lydia (-----) Rawson, "of Holliston". She may have been Lydia Hill, daughter of Ebenezer and Mary (White) Hill, who was born 30 Nov 1706, Sherborn, MA, who married firstly, 15 Jan 1729/30, Holliston, Samuel Daniels, and who "of Holliston" married secondly, 5 Mar 1761, Uxbridge, Deacon Edmond Rawson.

By some sources, she is alleged to have married, before 3 Jul 1715, Solomon HILL, son of Eleazer and Sarah (Breck) Hill, born 27 Dec 1691, Sherborn, MA, and resided in Plainfield, CT, but this would make her very young. Probably that bride was Mary, daughter of John and Hannah (Checkley) Adams, born 20 Dec 1695, Boston, MA.
