He married, 12 Jun 1864, Stamford, CT, Martha Ann Bates, daughter of John and Esther Smith (Holley) Bates. She was born 10 June 1843, Darien, CT, and died after Feb 1875.
Phoenix says the following:
- ". . . a farmer . . . . They settled at Darien, and were living there in Feb. 1875."
