Family:Whitney, Cornelius (1782-1845)

Cornelius⁶ Whitney (Cornelius⁵, Matthias⁴, Cornelius³, Joshua², John¹), son of Cornelius⁵ and Elizabeth (May) Whitney; born Granville, New York, 27 Jan 1782; married 1 Jan 1806, Rhoda Gould of Granville, born 25 Apr 1790; died Apr, 1840.

He resided in Killingly, Connecticut, in early life, but soon moved to Granville, New York, where he married. In 1816 he moved to Ontario, and in 1837 to the Ridge road, where he ever after lived. He served in the war of 1812. He died 19 Jun 1845; resided Mexico and Pineville, New York.

ii.	Silas Whitney, born 10 Oct 1809; married Matilda Cross.

v.	Maria Whitney, born 16 Feb 1816; married 15 May 1838, Jesse Enos. He was born 23 Aug 1806; died 6 Nov 1870; resided New Haven, New York. She died 16 May 1886. Ch.: Rufus, born 14 Jun 1840; married 6 Jan 1867, Ettie Smith, and 10 Dec 1884, Ann E. Gardner. She died Nov. 14, 1883; resided Mexico; Rhoda, born 4 May 1842; died 4 Mar 1886 Rosina, born 19 May 1845; resided Mexico; Mary, born 1 Mar 1848; died 20 Jul 1868; Adelbert, born 15 Jul 1851; died 23 Dec 1853; Brayton, born 29 Nov 1855; married 13 Oct 1880, Adella Snell; resided New Haven.
