Dorville Herbert7 Whitney (Erastus6, Samuel5, John4, Henry3, John2, Henry1), son of Erastus6 and Hannah (Jerome) Whitney, was born 31 Mar 1820, Henderson, NY, and died after 1900.

He married, 1845, Henderson, NY, Mary Ann Ingalls, daughter of Edmond and Charlotte Taylor (Dickerson) Ingalls. She was born 20 Oct 1823, Henderson, NY, and died after 1880.

Phoenix says the following:

". . . a farmer . . . . They dwelt in Henderson till Sept. 1850; moved to Michigan, and passed about four years there; lived at Concord, Wis., in 1864; and were settled, in Sept. 1874, at Sherman, near Loyal post-office, Wis."

i. Matilda Adelia Whitney, b. 19 Dec 1845, Henderson, NY; m. 26 May 1863, Wheatland, MI, Cornelius Blanchard, son of Jonathan and Elizabeth (Kepheart) Blanchard; b. 11 Feb 1807, Tioga, PA; a farmer. They were living at Sherman, WI, in Sep 1874. She m.(2) ca. 1878, Napoleon DeLovely.
ii. Herbert Adelan Whitney, b. 5 May 1849, Henderson, NY; was living with his parents, in Sherman, WI, in Sep 1874, unmarried.
iii. Charlotte Inez Whitney, b. 31 Mar 1851, Concord, WI; m. 9 Nov 1867, Beaver Dam, WI, Edwin Arthur Holmes, son of Arthur and Sarah (Jennings) Holmes, b. 13 Oct 1845, Phelps, NY; a farmer. They settled in Sherman, WI, and were living there in Sep 1874.
