Ebenezer7 Whitney (Ebenezer6, Ebenezer5, Ezekiel4, Ebenezer3, Richard2, John1), son of Ebenezer6 and Martha (Gates) Whitney, was born 23 May 1788, Worcester, MA,[1] and died 15 May 1843, Millbury, MA.

He "of Worcester" married, 4 Mar 1813, Oxford, MA, Annis Kingsbury.[2] She was born 22 Aug 1791, and died Nov 1876.

He was for many years employed in the Waters Government Armory. He resided Millbury, MA, and Tolland, CT.

Children of Ebenezer7 and Annis (Kingsbury) Whitney:

i. Martha Gates8 Whitney, b. 22 May 1814; m. 17 Oct 1832, Millbury, MA, John A. McDougall.[3]
ii. Henry Whitney, b. 23 May 1816; d. at sea.
iii. Ebenezer Whitney, b. 15 May 1818, Millbury, MA;[4] m. Eliza Ann Robinson.
iv. John Gates Whitney, b. 10 Aug 1820, Millbury, MA;[5] resided Independence, IA.
iii. Prudence Ann Whitney, b. 28 Jan 1822; d. 25 Jul 1839.
v. Asa Waters Whitney, b. 8 Nov 1826; d. May 1886.
vi. Edwin Whitney, b. 8 Mar 1829; m. Minerva Barrows, of Mansfield, CT; d. 26 Aug 1867. He graduated at the Connecticut Normal School, 9 Oct 1856. Was assistant superintendent and principal teacher of the reform school, Providence, RI. He gave his farm in Mansfield, worth $15,000 for the benefit of the Soldiers' Orphan Home. Was Superintendant of the same when he died, in his thirty-ninth year, greatly lamented. His life was insured for $10,000. His wife was also a graduate of the same school.
vii. Mary Elizabeth Whitney, b. 14 Jan 1833, Millbury, MA;[6] d. 5 Sep 1835.
