Fred E.⁹ Whitney (John Stewart⁸, Nathaniel⁷, Nathaniel⁶, Samuel⁵, Nathaniel⁴, Nathaniel³, John², John¹), son of John Stewart⁸ and Hannah (Brackett)(Barney) Whitney, was born 21 Jul or 21 Aug 1867, Whitingham, VT,^[1] and died 15 Dec 1934, Mountain Home, ID.

He married, 3 Sep 1893, Blaine Co., ID, Inez Elizabeth (Phelps) Hays, daughter of Mark Yale and Naomi (McDonald) Phelps. She was born 7 Jul 1861, Valley Twp., Linn Co., KS, and died 24 Jan 1922, Mountain Home, ID. She had married firstly, before 1881, ----- Hays.
