George Loring9 Whitney (Otis C.8, Otis7, Solomon6, Solomon5, Nathaniel4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), son of Otis Charles8 and Mary Framces (Derby) Whitney, was born 10 Mar 1861, Boston, MA,[1] and died 9 Feb 1933, Somerville, MA.
He married firstly, 20 May 1883, Boston, MA, Hattie E. Ogilvie, daughter of Abraham and Catharine (-----) Ogilvie.[2] She was born about 13 Sep 1862, Kings Co., NS, and died 11 Jan 1905, Boston, MA, aged 42 years 3 months 28 days, of cancer of left breast.[3] They were divorced after 1889. She lived at 78 Spencer St. at death.
He married secondly, 25 Sep 1906, Medford, MA (also recorded Boston), Martha Ellen (Sproule) Frost, both of Medford, daughter of John W. and Eleanor J. (DeLong) Sproule.[4] She was born about 1862, Kings Co., NB. She had married firstly, 24 Dec 1878, Mars Hill, ME, Clifford L. Frost.
He was a news agent at marriage. In 1884 he was an agent living at 2 Grove Sq., Boston, MA. In 1886-1889 he was a fruit dealer living at 98 Chestnut St., Boston, MA. At his second marriage he was an electrical engineer.

Grace Dixwell Whitney, b. 21 Oct 1889, Boston, MA [given name omitted];[7] d. 23 Mar 1949, Sunnyside, WA; m. 4 or 16 Dec 1907, Somerville, MA, Sanford Hartley Thumith, b. ca. 1885, Wellesley, MA, son of William and Margaret A. (Bennett) Thumith.[8] He was a teamster or contractor.
