Family:Whitney, Horace (1793-b1850)

Horace⁶ Whitney (Jared⁵, John⁴, Richard³, John², Henry¹), son of Jared⁵ and Sally (Rogers) Whitney, was born 27 Feb 1793, Branford, CT,^[1] was baptized 2 Jul 1797, Branford, CT,^[2] and died after 1838 and before 1850.

He married, before 1822, probably OH, Elizabeth -----. She was born about 1803, KY, and died after 1870.

Phoenix says the following:

"Horace Whitney, b. at Branford, Conn., 27 Feb. 1793; bap. at Branford, 2 July 1797; had a family; lived in Cincinnati, O., but is now dead."

i.	James7 Whitney, b. ca. 1822, OH; a printer; lived in Cincinnati, OH; present [1878] residence unknown; unmarried in 1860.
ii.	(son) Whitney, b. 1825-1830, deduced from 1830 census record; not in family in 1850.
iii.	Mary Jane Whitney, b. ca. 1827, Lawrenceburg, IN; d. Nov 1897, Cincinnati, OH; m. 25 Aug 1852, Hamilton Co., IN, Edward Mott Lawrence.
iv.	Harriet Whitney, b. say 1830, IN; not in family in 1850 or 1860.
v.	Decatur Whitney, b. ca. 1832, IN; m. Juliet Rowe.
vi.	William H. Whitney, b. ca. 1838, OH.
