Family:Whitney, James Harvey (1847-a1880)

James Harvey⁹ Whitney (Orrell⁸, George Huyler⁷, Zadok⁶, Hezekiah⁵, Hezekiah⁴, Joseph³, John², Henry¹), son of Orrell⁸ and Mary Philura (Merrill) Whitney, was born 19 Jan 1847, Wolcott, VT, and died after 1880.

He married, 22 Nov 1870, Cabot, VT, Martha Matilda Perkins, daughter of Urbin and Betsey (Sanborn) Perkins.^[1] She was born 16 Nov 1847, Walden, VT, and died after 1880.

He was a farmer and teacher. He settled at Cabot, and was living there in 1873, without children. He was a soldier in the war of 1861, for one year in 1864 and 1865.
