He married, 24 Nov 1870, Bluffton, IN, Clara Bell Borden, daughter of John and Mary (Satterthwaite) Borden. She was born 27 Dec 1849, Xenia, OH, and died after 1900.
He was a wholesale dealer in lumber, in company with his brother Calvin, at 22 Summit Street, Toledo, Ohio; and was living at Bluffton, IN, in 1873, without children; his widow resided Defiance, OH, in 1900.
