Josiah Francis7 Whitney (Silas6, Josiah5, Nathaniel4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Silas6 and Elvira J. (Lane) Whitney, was born 23 Mar 1825, Gorham, ME, died 29 Mar 1908.

He married, 14 May 1850, Long Pond, ME, Mary Moore. She was born 15 Mar 1833, Concord, ME, and died 29 Jun 1909.

He was a farmer; resided Solon, ME.
