Milton⁸ Whitney (Asa Watrous⁷, Milton⁶, Asa⁵, Joshua⁴, William³, Joshua², John¹), son of Asa Watrous⁷ and Mary Ann (Wightman) Whitney, was born 18 Aug 1839, Pittsfield, OH.

He married, 4 Dec 1862, Oberlin, OH, Susan L. Ware. She was born 2 Aug 1841.

He is a carpenter and blacksmith; resided Alta, CA.
