Patsey7 Whitney (Ezra6, Ezra5, John4, Isaiah3, Thomas2, John1), daughter of Ezra6 and Sally (Hooker) Whitney, was born 22 Apr 1786, Athens VT.

She married, perhaps sometime before 1827, Eleazar Dewey. He was born about 1791, VT.

She moved with her parents and siblings from the family home in Vermont to Allegany County, New York in 1817.

He was an E. M. Clergyman.

In 1825, the First Methodist Episcopal Church in Birdsall, Allegany Co., New York was formed by Rev. Eleazar Dewey (History of Allegany County, New York, p. 86).
